Wahoo announces Kickr Bike outdoor conversion kit
Today Wahoo announced their latest product: a conversion kit for their Kickr bike which adds wheels, fork, brakes, and a rear adapter in order to enable you to take your Kickr bike to the outside roads.
From Wahoo’s press release: “We are excited to announce the CNVRSKT Kickr outdoor conversion kit. The challenging time of this pandemic has made cyclists worldwide realize: Indoor cycling sucks. We could not agree more! Over the last year, our team has been working hard to bring you the product you all have been waiting for: a conversion kit that enables you to take your favorite Kickr Bike outside. There is no need to plug your Kickr in – simply remove the legs, add the parts from our kit, and you are ready to go! Wirelessly connect your Kickr to your cycling computer or watch, and you get full power and cadence readings, just like indoors!”
This is the latest announcement from a company taking the indoor world to the outdoors. Just a couple of hours before Wahoo’s press release, Zwift announced their first-ever hardware product: A water and splashproof (IPX7) full HD (1080p) tablet that attaches to most types of handlebars and allows you to ride in any Zwift world outdoors on the road.
