Faster, Fresher: YellowCrank adds a News section

YellowCrank is different: We care about brands with a purpose and products made with passion and we aim to make it easy for you to discover them.
Some of our unique features, that you can’t find anywhere else are our separate section for not-for-profits, a separate section for kids/junior and adaptive products, our special markers calling out more sustainable products and quack products, and a header with recalls.
We also do what no other of the cycling news and product websites do: We sort products by category, similar to how you would look for them in an online shop. This makes it easy for you to find interesting products for any particular use. Each product is carefully selected and described. This takes time to do, and I have a long backlog of products to write about.

At the same time, the world keeps spinning and news about a new product, an update to it, or a new service reach me daily. I would love to share with you what’s new while it’s fresh, but until now had no place to put it in the existing layout of YellowCrank. This is changed now with the brand-new NEWS section.
You find it it at the top of the main menu. This is how it looks on mobile phone:

And of course the news will show in a top section of the start page as well, together with all other latest posts.
The news will be shorter snippets, not reviews and they will either be single news, or a round-up of recent news. While YellowCrank only lists products that are from smaller companies, in the news section you might also find news coming from bigger brands, as long as they are significant or interesting for the bigger picture of developments happening in the cycling world.
