Procycling has come to an end

After Bike Magazine and Dirt Rag in 2020, this year it has hit Procycling: The media company Future Publishing has announced that January 2022 will be the last issue of Procycling. In an email to subscribes the company states: “This was not an easy decision for us to make and we want you to know we did everything possible to continue to publish Procycling; however, it was not viable for us to do so”
Existing subscriptions will be transeferred to MBR (Mountain Bike Rider) magazine.
Procycling has been around since 1999, and last had a circulation of around 13,000 copies, which is at the lower end of cycling magazines (but in company of other tiles like Singletrack and MBR.)
Future Publishing also produces Cycling Weekly, CyclingNews, BikePerfect and MBR.
Earlier this year I posted and overview of the Print Media landscape, check it out here!
The carousel keeps spinning and there has been a few changes and takeovers this year; they will be reflected in an upcoming 2022 media overview post.
