Protect yourself against Roadrash: Q36.5 now with GRDXKN tech!
In cooperation with the renowned Italian sports textile manufacturer, Q36.5 GRDXKN® developed Bib Shorts and a Jersey Top designed with their anti-road-rash
technology. The collaboration between GRDXKN® and Q36.5 means you’ll get top-notch cycling apparel with high comfort and protection.
The GRDXKN® technology allows protection to be printed onto the fabric. The print is impact-absorbing and, at the same time, prevents or reduces skin abrasion in case of a fall and slide. The material was tested in crash simulations of up to 100 km/h. The way the print is applied allows for airflow, and thus the printed areas feel comfortable. An additional benefit is that according to Q36.5 and GRDXKN, the 3D surface structure of the printed area improves aerodynamics. The weight penalty is around 20g, so negligible.
I previously spoke to GRDXKN® Founder and developer Bastian Müller at Eurobike 2021 and wrote about the technology in this post.
Q36.5 are known for premium cycling apparel. I own some gloves and bib shorts from them and would own more if I could afford to. That’s why I am pretty happy to see them being the brand of choice for this technology. Q36.5 added to their collection one bib shorts in black for each men and women, one jersey in 3 colors for men, and a black one for women. Check them out here: Q36.5
